I’ve been playing football since I was 4 years old. The passion for football came from my family. My dad was a former national star in Surinam and when I grew up my brother was playing for the youth academy of Ajax.
I started my career when I was 4 years old in The Netherlands at Tos Actief. When I turned 5, I went to Sv Voorland where I played for almost 2 years. After those years I went to Ajax. I was then 8 years old and started in the E2 (now called U9). I walked through the whole youth academy of Ajax and I made my debut on 24 February, 2005 (18 years). After 6 seasons at the first team of Ajax, I made my transfer to Ac Milan on 23 January 2011. After my time in Ac Milan I played for Fulham, As Roma, Atalanta Bergamo, Hellas Verona, Sheffield Wednesday and turned back in Holland on 10 July 2017 to Fc Utrecht. Where I’m still playing for.
I won prices with Ajax and Ac Milan. With Ajax we won three Dutch super cups, three Dutch national cups and one Dutch championship. With Ac Milan one Italian super cup and one Italian champion ship.
I Played for different youth teams of The Netherlands, but my biggest achievement was with the U23 where we won the European Championship in 2006 in Portugal. It was a big achievement because we were the first U23 team who won a big tournament. Because of winning the Euro’s we were automatically qualified for the Olympics in Beijing. Where we lost from Argentina in the quarter Final. My debut for the first team was on August 16, 2006, against Ireland. I played 17 caps for The Netherlands.
Now it’s time to give something back to the next generations. After everything that came on my path and my experiences, I’d like to share that with them. The most important thing for me is to help our players with their development and make them better, mentally and physically. Together we will go for the highest goal possible!
The line that I stand for during my career but also in the way of living is: touching the sky, with both feet on the ground.
Let’s do this.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section][vc_row type_row=”advisor2″ ses_title=”Our Team” ses_subtitle=”” el_class=”all-staff”][vc_column width=”1/3″ type=”column”]
